Kai Shun Premier Santoku & Utility Knife Set
A set of two versatile Japanese knives – a santoku and utility knife – with hammered blades that resist food sticking to the sides.
---DETAILS---
This set of two knives from the Kai Shun Premier collection features two of the most versatile knives in any chef's collection. The 18cm santoku knife has an almost straight edge, making it ideal for slicing, dicing, chopping vegetables, as well as mincing herbs. The slender 16.5cm utility knife is perfect for tasks that don't require large blades. With a core of VG MAX steel, these knives retain a razor-sharp edge in between sharpening sessions. This core is then clad within 32 layers of Damascus steel, before being hammered to create a stunning visual effect known as tsuchime. The handles are crafted from pakkawood and are ergonomically shaped to fit comfortably into the palm of your hand, ideal for both left and right-handed users. Designed by German chef Tim Mälzer, these knives designed to work hard, with utmost precision.
